Funny you should mention that the northern beaches being a hotspot for Lyme disease.
I have a friend who lives in Avalon whose wife has had it for 20 years. She first had to fight the doctors till they recognized it for what it was. Initially she couldn't get them to take it seriously, they had put it down as imagination/psychological till she found a doctor whose eyes were open...
She still has some symptoms though her condition is much improved.
