    Soul Surfer,

Precisely. They also try to play silly buggers with their "floating" currency with various artificial controls on the RMB....until the USA calls them up and tells them to pull their head in.

    So - First Order Logic

If a "socialist republic" can control its currency, then if this same country controls (or has supply of and stockpiles of) 90% of REE and REE prices are say $54 then isn't it logical to say that 90% of the same said price is, well actually, artificial? REE Prices are actually not floating like other "commodities" are. We also don't have a futures market for them etc. If China's supply control once Lyc and Moly come on line drops to say 60% then so does the price control. And then you have a snowball even. Cumulative effect and the price of REE will move to where they should be given other macro factors and variables.

Fortunately for Lynas $54 per REE basket multiplied by zero (because we have refined and shipped any yet) is still zero. maybe we'll get $54 for all of phase 1 production. Maybe we'll get $74.

Molycorp needs our TOL too. Don't you worry.
