The large Chinese Malay population doesn’t generally read Malay, and probably isn’t too conversant in speaking it either. And remember, eg, that the Review Report is only available in an unauthorised Malay version that I’ve laboriously translated.
Minister Yeo’s DAP supporters will never read or see it (and remember that Wong Tak had to resort to busing in his geriatric DAP supporters to yell out at the public hearing, and as they wouldn’t have understood any of the Malay testimony, that had no idea what they were protesting about: so just manipulated dupes....)
