I read that Tesla are looking at prism shaped batteries instead of the round ones and apparently are developing Nickel- Manganese-Cobalt. These will probably be made in China and remember the Chinese can build a hospital in ten days. The Japanese and the Americans are also well down the road with new battery chemicals and metals , mostly all non lithium. Hard to say what remaining lead time that lithium has , could be a while but the longer WES delays , the bigger the risk.
It is a shame that we don’t do more research here.
