Last Thursday, Fuziah Salleh alleged that Lynas would begin shipping rare earth ores to Kuantan later this month despite not having met government requirements to do so.
The Malaysian Government is establishing credibility by letting the public know that Fuzzy Sally’s allegations Lynas was smuggling rare earths into the country without the AELB’S permission is INCORRECT.
The government has said “there will be no importation of raw materials into the country, and no operational activities will be allowed on site” until Lynas meets the requirements.
In a joint statement with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the regulator said Lynas was not allowed to bring in the ores without first securing a two-stage authorisation.

IMO, the Malaysian Government, the AELB, the MOSTI and Lynas are all working professionally to be consistent and follow rules. It is smart for the Malaysian Government and the AELB to take the lead and let the community gain trust in the project. The public needs to see that the Malaysian Govt. being honest and showing integrity by addressing allegations and providing correct information.

Now Fuzzy Sally is beginning to look like the public enemy. It’s the 9th inning,,,Lynas at bat….grand slam to right,,,taking the lead away from the Fuzzy Wazzy’s.
