No release of material from stockpile, that was merely a suggestion by ACREI, in fact SRB still has 11kt remaining of the 21kt authorised for stockpile.
To the contrary the Big6 are openly colluding on price and the threat of production quotas being filled before the peak season towards EOY is being bandied about.
The reason being that current price levels are merely an asking price, until downstream accept these new values, pitched right in the economic sweet spot, and restock inventory, with eventual pass thru of at least a proportion of the rapid appreciation, they remain tenuous.
Beijing has pitched its play on strong domestic & export demand coupled with a far more developed control of supply, and backed it with definitive action to restore value right thru the value chain, particularly magnetics.
Once that has been achieved they will maintain balanced supply to support economic values.
