you hit the nail with “top 10 shorted stock” Its just another company thats been “picked on” by shorters who in imho, are nothing better than or different to playground bullies and are out there for wholly for self ( I, me, myself and fu attitude) and ruin the ‘quiet enjoyment’ of the playground (marketplace) for everyone else.
The sooner there is some better oversight and regulation of shorters and ‘spin doctors’’/media who ‘spin tales’ (akin to fud) as their sycophants by the corporate and market regulators, the better.
Is it likely to happen in the near future .... probably not likely because its the beot and like who have the ear of regulators, and they dont want anything to upset their cosy applecart. Who cares about retail investors ... it seems we are there to be milked and screwed by beot ... and then people wonder why we feel disillusioned and jaded.
