Lynas linked to rare earths mega-merger as price falls bite - AFR, page-7

Everyone is making strong points on this merger subject, for and against. To be frank I can't quite get my head around what to think. I am thinking that MP will send concentrate to Lynas instead. A good think. But I think there will be retaliation and lower ndpr pricing, a bad thing. Lynas may benefit from MP customers in Japan ie Sumitomo. The MP debt is concerning and Lynas could be heading that way itself . Will the JARE support be there for both companies or will the American administration want more leverage over both concerns. I'm sure there will be many curb balls coming if things go ahead. Remember the Americans too. Historically, they enriched their economy with the lend lease agreements selling arms to Russia and the UK, but were forced into the war because of Pearl Harbor. A side effect was they helped the other allies to win the wars. The US industrialists wanted no part as they were making huge profits and the average American was "doin' just dandy". . Theyre ruthless. Yes, I'll be spectical with more US involvement too with the DoD wanting more control over Lynas.Would a US listing on the stock market benefit us. That I'm naive on and happy to hear HC commentary. Would that calm down State streets cohorts. Amanda's in charge and now making tough decisions. It seems the Chinese stronghold is leaving no choice. Amanda is a very savvy lady but the yanks are no dopes either.
