I am not punishing myself as I am the only one responsible for my loss and profits - got current trading positions spread out between LSE, NYSE, ASX & Spot Metals and overall positive.
I do agree what you say about timing and the trend. I am just giving my POV just as the people with opposite POVs are doing.
Although I agree that the trend is your friend, but I am a contrarian/value investor by my trading style, and with which I am comfortable. The true pros don't follow the trend, but take advantage of it by hunting for the right time to short at market tops & buy at bottom/panic.
In regards to picking the bottom, I still got 60% unallocated money for this trade which I will surely apply soon.
