I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories but had anyone considered that the government might have only given the approval once it knew it SMSL could get the court to continue delays so as to appear to be doing the right thing by the Aus Malay FTA and Lynas, but ultimately continuing to serve the best interests of the chinese bribe payers...
As farfetched as that sounds, with the sort of unending drama we've seen, it seriously wouldnt surprise me
