Very true Jm. One thing though , the Chinese have seen poorer years than now and they are more resilient and pragmatic towards poverty than us westerners. The CCP wont be budged that easily and a large percentage of the population think Xi has done a good job to date. He has many years left to blame the western countries for Chinas woes until they wake up and realise it is CCP policies being the problem and decide to turn on the government. Speaking to Chinese in my country they think Xi is doing fine.
