Just a comment on the pragmatism of the Chinese, I pretty much observe that when a bad business investment has failed the mindset of many Chinese is "What can I do about it...nothing". Seems that there are less mechanisms in place as consumers than western countries for governance of regulations on developers or market manipulation. Maybe you guys are spot on and the people will boil and want accountability and take on the government. Im not so sure. I might be wrong too but we can only speculate on what happened to Japan , including having their exports tariffed heavily. The auto industry got tariffs big time. Maybe China may cop the same hammering with their emerging EV exports. It'll be interesting what happens going forward. The suicide rate in Japan skyrocketed when workers began losing their " jobs for life" in the 80s. What will the Chinese do?
