Uncoupling from China sounds like a great idea. Could you explain to me how this could be done when China has more than 80% of world production and Lynas has less than 10 %. For ideas to be realistic that have to have some plausibility.
Think about what you are saying. What you are saying is Lynas cannot survive with out massive government support. It may come but is that were you want to be invested. I had a healthy investment in GM before banking crisis. i got out when sales started slumping even though I still liked the company. It is all about a company surviving on there own not relying on rich uncles. if they get the aid you are talking about the stock will most certainly go up. i would never buy a stock hoping aid from fickle governments was coming. also I think you have a typo the plan being introduced to congress is USD 20 not $30.
Not sure how or when this will help Lynas. First it is not reality yet and with governments who knows. Second Lynas has no hard plans to get in the magnet business. Lots of talk about Texas doing it but should we not wait for Gound breaking to occur on the current oxide plant in Texas before we assume they will be making magnets soon. Now some money would trickle down to the Oxide producers. But how much. So yes this could be a big boost to Lynas SP years from now. Could you explain why you think holding now is when short term drops to SP are almost guaranteed by the continued drop in REE oxides and the resulting drop in Lyc Profits?
Think about what you said in post 74175053 and tell me why we will not see a 10% ~ 40% decline in the next 6 to 12 months in LYC SP
