Yes when the subsidies do kick in, you would assume Lynas would benefit by being able to command better prices than those manipulated by the chinese. In the meantime though, Lynas is stuck with chinese pricing. Whatever happened to rest of world being happy to pay for environmentally responsible and sustainable production? Do all those certifications mean nothing? My frustration is at Lynas' inability to convert these advantages into sustainable pricing at this moment. Lynas claims the only way is by establishing critical mass, more outside supply. In the meantime it's China Northern, or in other words, the Chinese govt calling the shots. It benefits them to keep prices low for the sake of their industry and it allows them to continue to import rare earths cheaply from MP and others.
