I understand your point NS but personally don't agree.
I rarely engage with CJ directly but I do prefer to skim read what they are saying.
I can then put alternative points of view out there if I think they're misrepresenting me (often happens) or possibly peddling fake news to those here with less experience or knowledge. I don't believe incessant negativity should be left unchallenged.
But I'm not interested in dialogue with them or completing any of the "homework" they set.
