This looks like background noise to me. The claim is very weak and is not likely to effect plant operations at this point. These issues are nothing new.
The Malaysian Bar has talked tough but has yet to agree to represent SMSL to my knowledge. And this "appeal to locals and KL" does not indicate a court filing as much as a grassroots public appeal. Several of these articles have used legal terms of art in layman ways. Until I here a specific court action or see a filing document I don't see the fuss. And even then I doubt it will go far.
The fact that they have yet to file an actual court injunction or get an attorney to indicate he/she will fight a suit in court (to my knowledge) suggests an injuction or appeal has little chance. For now, I call of this background noise.
Thanks for sharing and this is something to watch I guess. But for now it is "no news" to me.
