Thanks OMG. But no thanks. I love the job I am doing too much to contemplate such a suffocating move. Infact, I have no interest to breathe polluted air sitting alongside the gents in that board.
If I was that much power hungry would have stayed back and not leave my country. I would have become the Chief engineer of the best power station in Asia. Total output more than Origin's (ORG) generation portfolio.
My attempts when I have free time is to try to tell the shareholders that whether they have diversified or not that they OWN a piece of the LYC and it is as good as the house we OWN. We don't handover our investment property to the real estate agent to manage and completely forget it. We still need to ensure that the Board of Directors who are our employees do as per our bidding not just donate to themselves juicy parts of our company.
OR work on their own pet projects while being paid by our company and not work for the growth of our company. Crown by now is clearly shown as a key Niobium resource. NC had either still has ideas of donating it to FRG or no interest in developing it and adding value to the LYC.
So we as the owners should crack the whip is the advise I am giving not just sitting back and basking in the $4 or $10 dreams. They are good but needs to wield the whip when the horse is getting derailed.
And the time has come up to crack the whip.
In that context the following is noteworthy.
"Banking consultant Bert Ely said he wondered if the changes were driven by Warren Buffett, who announced Aug. 25 that he would invest $5 billion in the bank.
Buffett also received options to buy Bank of America stock at $7.14 per share, options that are now under water. Bank of America's shares fell 3.6 percent to close Tuesday at $6.99. They rose 4 cents in after-hours trading after the management announcement was made.
"I cannot imagine that Buffett is in Omaha just sitting idly by," Ely said."
