    A quick s32 AELA decision in our favour will see very little, if any, impact on timelines.

    And believe me the Government will NOT want to reverse its decision on this as it would be tantamount to saying all its processes and decision making beforehand was in error. Name a Government who'd be willing to do this?

    This is aside from the enormous compensation that would be payable to Lynas in the event of reversing the TOL decision.

    Think about the implications on all levels... an incumbent decades-long power seen to be rolling over to the vocal opposition for one. Massive increase in sovereign risk to the global community and attendant flight of FDI for two. Opening the floodgates to other similar protests in other sectors including high-tech, e.g. refineries, mining, R&D, innovation, military, etc. etc. etc.

    There is also the matter of loss of face which is a no-no in many Asian cultures.
