The development of Lynas Corporation's Duncan rare earths deposit would not attract public opposition, according to executive chair Nick Curtis. He said the project would require construction of a purpose-built processing plant, which he said would probably be located in Western Australia. Public concerns about radiation have delayed development of the group's Malaysian refinery, but Curtis said such protests would by unlikely in Australia
