hi jukieoz836 ,
I think most posters are speculating re future of a second refinery for LYNAS.
MY speculation , is on the same lines as yours with bit of a twist to it. I am opened to comments, right or wrong.
FIRB stopped the T/O of lynas in the first place .
Currently Conglin Yue is making a bid to t/o ORM.( small company with some HOPE for future HREE )
Why would this be so ?
Conglin Yue is also a sub shareholder of LYC , and more so of NTU.
There are different stages to process HREE . (someone may like to expand on this)
Would FIRB stop Conglin Yue(backed by Chinese Gov funding) from building owning a Refinery in Australia to serve for LYC,ORM ,NTU or for others with suitable REE ? The end stage of the refining would be done in China.
= Indirect CONTROL.
I like to hear about the technicalities involved from others in the know.
