I have friends in the movie business. To be serious you need $500,000 seed capital. You court the right script writer, talent, go for government grants that gets you to $3million. Then you really have something to sell; with top material maybe a 1 in 20 chance of delivering a blockbuster.
Or you can make an easy return on American Pie 17.
