This thread is the best read I have had in ages sitting here chuckling, so thanks. I would like to add two points though:

1. Emotions + trading = bad news. If "Mums & Dads" (if by this term you mean sheep that blindly invest where othere tell them to without taking time to investigate to the absolute best of their abilities) pour money blindly into things and get burnt, well, that's a tough lesson. If they put money in a bank instead they wouldn't be "crying themselves to sleep". Stoch, you can't just appoint yourself the vigilante share trading saviour of the masses. That is clearly a job for Batman and he would most likely be accumulating in this market.

2. People are fatalistic creatures when faced with financial woes. Any loss is the worst thing in the world, even a paper loss. If you haven't got the stomach for losses sit out of the market until it turns the way you want it. It's not mandatory to feed the addiction of trading if the shizzle is more of a fizzle.

Other than than, this thread rocks.
