IMO: If Lynas acquires Moly, this will be a wrong strategy. Let buyers dismantle Moly's assets and this will help to remove the threat to Lynas as the largest RE producer outside China.
A super rich company can buy Lynas and Moly's assets but these two companies should not be merged. Any merger between Lynas and Moly may destroy Lynas value.
