That, unfortunately is how the system works, ... the Chinese, basically, are securing their civilisation's future energy requirements by buying from "short sighted" individual/companies, with little concern for future generations to come, only doing what is best for oneself,
... a bit like giving beads to the Indians in exchange for their lands.

Then again, the world has been constantly changing and you cannot stop change, ... but I wish we as a nation, put more value on what we have and protect it as best we can for others of our own to follow.
