RCP today imo was just reflecting overnight weakness in overseas markets as well as weakness in the copper price overnight.
With placements of over 200 million shares in the past month or so, quite a lot of nervous holders that are in the red on their placement uptake have probably lightened their load in case the market/commodity price rout continues.
Many resource stocks got heavily marked down today. Short selling may or may not have contributed to some of the markdowns but RCP wasn't alone in being sold down heavily today.
