Ive just found a piece of info about Maari that make my recent musings highly likely to turn out to be substantially correct.
A missing gap has just been filled.You have to get lucky sometime!
It appears that only 3 of the MDP (Maari Development Plan) wells in 2015 were drilled. The 4th and last one scheduled under the MDP was apparently abandoned.
Now my numbers stack up!
Maari prodn. prior to MDP- 8 to 10k bopd.
Ditto after 3 MDP wells had been drilled- "over 16k bopd" (Source MOV who added that Production after completion of the MDP wells would likely be near to 20k bopbd).
The next thing we heard was that "workovers" or a workover plan was in operation. I took exception at the time to the use of the W/O word for repairs to recently completed wellsif that was what they intended !
Instead of "nearly 20k" production tumbled to sub-10k.
Since then there have been numerous references to "workovers" and "production was down as various ..... was done/installed.."
Now look at the production level changes assuming each of the 3 or 4 MDP wells was expected to produce (and for a start DID produce ) at the rate of 2 to 3000 bopd:
After well s 1 and 2- no advice
After (I think) well no 3- "over 16k bopd" and likely to get near to 20k.
Where are we at?
I think there is no production from the MDP wells in the sub-10k current production !
