prowiz, many thanks for taking the trouble to write to Eytan and for sharing the reply here.
Good point about the temperature of wastewater always being well above ambient temperatures, also the fact that the wastewater would always be flowing through the pipes and modules would definitely give another layer of protection. Sometimes here we get freezing temperatures for days on end and the only trouble we get is when pumps are shut off and pipes are full of stationary water. Then we can get burst pipes from the expanding frozen water, even when we were young and innocent we had a cast iron cylinder pump split from one end to the other. Needless to say we now lag and cover pumps and pipes where practicable or if not practicable we drain the water.
