Chuk - sorry I missed this. essentially all shorts in this company were closed out 14th Jan when the price broke $3. prior to that there was 8-9% or 18 million shares being shorted, and then it drops all the way to 1 million in one day. after the 14th Mac had nothing to gain by the continued slide.
