Macarthur Coal plans to sell 5 mt coal

November 21, 2008: Macarthur Coal Ltd has planned to sell 5 million tons (mt) of coal during the financial year 2008-09 (one year until June 30, 2009).

This is 35.9 percent more than the sales in the last fiscal. Coal sales by the company stood at 3.68 mt in the fiscal year 2007-08.

According to Tex Report data, the targeted sales by the company will include 3.7 mt of low volatile (LV) PCI coal and 1.3 mt of thermal coal.

Macarthur Coal also has plans to increase its coal sales to 6 mt in the fiscal 2009-10, to 8 mt in 2010-11 and to 11 mt from fiscal 2013-14 onwards.
