I also should add the lack of vision by both the government and opposition of where we should be in 5, 10, 15 & 20 years (outside of being 100 and working at Bunnings serving the 90 year old youngsters while saving to break into the Sydney home market), always the negative slant (abbott used it in opposition and unfortunately seemingly cant help himself using it while in government) has destroyed the confidence of the general public and much of the business community.
