Some positive signals today, but more evidence that the SPP is going to be hugely oversubscribed and scaled back significantly. Yes they haven't ruled out accepting oversubscriptions, but there are on average about 500 trades a day at the moment that would be put down just to people wanting to qualify for the SPP.
It would only take 667 people accepting the full subscription for the $10m to be made. Right now, unless the ar$e falls out of the share price between now and the close of the SPP, I would anticipate there will be in excess of 3000 applications. Now of course not all of those will be for the full amount, but it may very well be a case that you will only get a third of what you apply for.
Someone bought 355k today at 59 in one hit. That's what I mean by positive signals. They ain't buying for the SPP that's for sure.
