The short term aim of the strategy in play now is to provide the chosen predator with the ability to block any other TO. That will reduce the share value which is a positive for the predator. Next, predator nominees could join the CTP Board. Privatisation could be on the cards, ie an unconventional TO. Under this scenario the Board could be spilled and replaced with Cottee and predator nominees, (subtle distinction here) another RI could further dilute the value of shares. at 90% thresh hold compulsory acquisition of remaining shares is possible. Value of remaining shares at that stage would be sub 5 cps, perhaps even less. Not saying this will happen but the possibility is real.
