Thanks for your comments. I found your assessment of 60-70% success using charts interesting.

I have been using charts for over 30 years and I believe my interpretation of the charts are correct around the same 60 to 70%. In addition to the 30 to 40% when the interpretation fails or is wrong, I also suffer from not being disciplined and ignore the signals the charts provide.

For Example, my interpretation of the NST chart gave me a "reduce holding" signal and then a "sell" signal both in Nov 2020. The chart also gave me a sell signal in Feb and June 2021. However, back in November 2020 I ignored the signal because of a strong belief that all the printing of money was going to cause inflation and these sell signals would be part of the 30 to 40% of when the charts are wrong. I ignored the sell signals in Feb, June and this month because of the attractive valuation of NST and its margin based on the high $A price of gold.

Currently, I am crossing my fingers and hoping.
