This is far too cheap by any valuation metric on an absolute, comparative and precedent basis.
The current share price and implied Enterprise Value / EBITDA doesn't reflect the oil cycle let alone price shocks in relation to the middle east. The market is pricing in an acquisition. A $3.0 per share price hardly stretches multiples. I suspect KAR will be a takeover target by a larger group if we're still sitting here in 6 months without an acquisition.
