Basically the way I see it, all 3 of EVT's operating divisions have surprised everyone by how well they've performed.
Cinemas: First half of this year, and we've already had 2 films doing circa $1bn at the box office worldwide (Lilo & Minecraft), well above industry expert's forecasts. For comparison the best performing movie first half last year was Dune with $700m.
Thredbo: Much stronger start to snow season compared to previous year
Property: Selling George St should bring about higher returns than what they planned for it originally
EVT is firing on all cylinders, something that didn't look likely just 6 months ago
