Macquarie Capital co-head John Pickhaver has lifted the lid on the opportunities unlocked by the US President’s $US1.2 trillion spending plan.
John Pickhaver, the local head of infrastructure and energy at Macquarie Capital, likens President Joe Biden’s $US1.2 trillion ($1.62 trillion) spending package to the nation-building investments in the United States following World War II.
During this period, the US constructed the interstate highway system and built new airports and bridges. Pickhaver says part of the motivation for the 1950s infrastructure investment wave in the US was enabling the movement of Cold War defence equipment.
