In the Australian Financial Review on 20 November 2008 on page 24 in an article titled " Macquarie Write-Downs May Deepen" by Matthew Drummond it says "Macquarie Group is over-valuing some Satellite investments by $A1.1 billion" according to Morgan Stanley on 19 November 2008.
If this is correct the Macquarie Group profit would be correspondingly effected.
On Comsec if you put in the company code MQG then look under news you can see extracts of the above report.
