Unfortunately, As I believed, the macro picture dictated the price.
In the dot com bubble, even if you own Amazon, there is only one direction for the equity prices and it is down. The current lesson reinforced this message for me.
CCP was a blind spot for me as I "liked" the company. That was never a good thing. I only sold about 20% of my holding. I was able to get out of most of my other positions by taking advantage of the bear market rallies but not CCP although I was fairly convinced this was heading sub 20.
One other reason I did not get out on time was unlike REA, MQG I could not find any company-specific issues. This is probably a good place to be in a recession. I mean we thrive on other people's misery and the best outcome I see in this cycle is low growth and worse being outright recession. Anyways, keenly watching this space as I think the selling is not done yet. There is no point selling it at these levels and simultaneously paying capital gains.
