This is a huge development for the Gold market.
Last week, extraordinary delivery notices of 40,000+ contracts were observed for 100 Ounce Gold in February, this is not normal. We had extraordinary margin requirements across the metals sector, and bam, 3 days later we get this statement.
Either this unknown player is a fortune teller, or an insider had prior knowledge. Is this perhaps even US government themselves? Are they preparing for an Audit?
Scotts own statement plans this "monetization" to occur within a 12 month period, and considering the US only holds debt and Gold, could this be the prelude to Gold revaluation?
If Mr Market gets even a whiff of this being realistic we're about to get a rocket up the ass of the entire sector.
