From what I can gather from the research, it’s all psychological:

- Female CFOs may be outperforming their male peers because management boards hold them to a higher standard
- Female CFOs were also perceived as less risky bets by investors
- There are some suggestions a female CFO can increase a company’s share price

Not sure if any of this is real data. And I do agree with you, this data may not be as meaningful as it may appear.
