I found it interesting to read the potential reasons why the consensus and the SP are so different.
One which I would say is definitely at play is the rapid change in circumstances compared to analyst coverage.
The other factor not mentioned is the shorting effect. A lot of the stocks mentioned in the list are under pressure from shorting activity encouraged by the downturn with the expectation of bad news in the near term or large holders lending of shares to soften potential takeover targets.
