It is amazing how the market's are taking off. Will end in tears IMHO. This massive worldwide debt will have to be repaid sooner or later because the interest payments will just simply hurt too much. If we don't see massive economic growth on the back of this spending then it will mean higher taxes in most countries and this will lead to less consumption ... less consumption >> then less growth.

My friends in the US are saying much the same - and despite what many say about decoupling - if the US doesn't consume then the world is in trouble !! We are many years away from any sort of serious decoupling.
