- the indicator is a modified and non-equal weighting to standard economic indicators such as PMIs, new orders, capacity utilisation, m2, stress index, corporate and government bond yields.
- the grey line is the actual indicator whilst the blue is the trend.
- high/low basis is simply +/- 15% adjustment to earnings.
- I haven't changed the components of the econ indicator nor the weightings. I have simply made changes to the consensus earnings indicator as it was required to improve accuracy. The changes were only on the margin (except for the removal of FGL).
- I agree that the trend direction is interesting. I 'feel' bearish, but this tells another story - at least for now.
