All colds are caused by viruses

All cases if influenza are caused by viruses

Pneumonia can be caused by either viruses or bacteria and simply means an infection in the lungs.

Antibiotics can only be effective against bacteria.

Some bacteria have become 'immune' (resistant) to some antibiotics.

Some bacteria, thanks to overuse and not completing courses as prescribed, have become immune to any known antibiotic. These are a huge threat to the future of surgical care and hospitals as we now know them.

Pharmaceutical companies could develop new antibiotics, but they couldn't be phased and say there is not enough profit to be made. Perhaps they are waiting until they can hold us all to ransom. In the meantime, the top echelons probably already have access to powerful treatments or occult antibiotics not available to the majority on the lower rungs of life here on planet lunacy.

In the meantime, doctors fight a losing battle.

The worst cases of resistance are coming from India where people have been able to purchase antibiotics, over the counter, without a prescription. A trip to India could be fatal.
