Of course any selling price, to be viable has to have a margin over costs.
To make anything, a place for a factory and storage for raw materials and finished goods
is needed - a premises.
Council rates are rising at about 5% annually.
Transport for goods and staff is another massive cost as diesel is around $2 a litre.
Labour costs are high - staff have to live and make ends meet in
the same high cost environment.
Electricity in Aust at around 30c KWH is amongst the highest in the world
in part due to "cheap" renewables.
Politicians are so out of touch, they think subsidies will work.
