It’s easy to beat yourself up for not buying/selling at the perfect SP fluctuation points. Some are good at picking them or just fluke it IMHO. All good if u have a short term strategy.
For me, the reality is that I’ve made more gains (paper profit ) from holding long term rather than my short term trading parcels over the last 3 years (not forgetting having to pay Mr taxman full rates for short term gains ). My regret is having been impatient in those early periods when we were at the 10-30c range and selling out on some shares.
But like Pokerface said, it’s your patience that will pay off in dividends (maybe quite literally). If still in doubt, just remember to say the ‘F’ word over and over again (fundamentals that is!).
