Lithium batteries have one flaw that perhaps science does not have an answer to. In extreme cold weather battery efficiency can drop by as much as 40%. So for those living in colder climates perhaps the EV adoption will be slower until batteries technology improves to allow longer range per KWh, faster recharging and battery enclosures to protect from extreme cold.
