Blogs, those calculations you are referring to were not good NPV calculations, but merely fanciful best guesses as to where the selling price might be in the future.

I can't recall seeing any calculations that discounted future earnings for risk and time value of money which is fundamental to any NPV calculation. Nearly all estimates also contained other major flaws, a particularly common one being the apparent belief on the part of posters that MAK would be given an exemption from income tax (given few people factored tax into their earnings estimates).
