Literally the opposite mate. I'm over 50 and an IT Exec on a very nice wicket. I would be tens of thousands of dollars better off under a system like they have in the US. The difference between me and you is I'm completely ok with seeing a solid chuck of my income go in taxes if it means the society I live in is a better place. Some folks feel better about themselves and their achievements while driving their Merc through a slum, but I'm not one of them.
