The elephant in the room is that Biden was willing to implement a massive funding increase on southern border security. Fewer undocumented immigrants would have been able to enter the US illegally and or avoid arrest if they tried.

Under the Biden proposal border security would have been more secure by election day. If base voters also seek the block the border to a lot of people who currently enter legally they would have the opportunity to vote for a candidate who would do that.

But no. MAGA will never be willing to share cudos for better border control with anyone .

MAGA will do everything they can to keep the borders more open while they remain confident of hoodwinking certain base voters.

Further up the feed chain there are MAGA Communo-Fascists who play games with US voters to assist the Kremlin's hybrid wars in Europe and the ME. Many base voters have tuned out of these wars.

US voters know nothing or care to know nothing about the Kremlin's war crimes in Africa. African genocides influence voting preferences.
